



Senior Grandmaster Hee Kwan Lee

President of the International Hapkido federation (I.H.F) in the United States and vice president at an International level.

9th Dan black belt and Senior Grandmaster.

Level A-1 IHF referee.

1961 - at the age of 6 he began his study in martial arts under Master Young Chang Kim in Moo Moo Kwan Hapkido where he achieved instructor rank. He is currently Chairman.

1979 - Emigrated to the United States of America to teach Taekwondo and Hapkido at the international Academy of Martial Arts, Kalamazoo, Michigan.

1980 - Established his own school "Korean Martial Arts" in Battle Creek, Michigan.

1988 - Delegate to the olympics in Seoul, South Korea. He was officially recognised for his contributions to the development and promotion of Taekwondo. 2006 - Named director of the United States Kumdo federation.

2009 - Inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame as grandmaster of the year.

2011 - Named president of the media group Kyung Hyang, US. Executive director of the 8th and 9th triennial IHF world championships and the Us championships of 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013. 2014 - Formed the Global Hapkido Association (GHA)
Senior Grandmaster Hee Kwan Lee is in constant contact with Hapkido England to offer his full support. He will be present in any black belt exams that happen.
